Thanks! that sounds like a decent idea! 
In the long run, I want everything on cd's/dvd's - but,
I'd like to have it organized. As it is now, it is only
partially organized. 
I will let you know how it goes! 
My only 'problem' is - I don't know if I have enough room
anywhere else to put ALL of those files! I'm going to try
though!!

If you have a lot to backup, not only will it take a long
time on DVD's, but will take a lot of DVDs. For now, you
should move everything to that other drive, and then
reformat the questionable drive. Then, after you run a
scandisk for errors, you can put everything back on it.
