No, Christine. When I downloaded 2, everything was
different. So much
time has gone by since then, I don't remember all the
things. But that was
when I started getting those awful very dark drop-down
menus, with which
you have to hover your mouse over each item, which turns the
text white
against the dark background. I'm sure people with normal
vision don't
have a problem reading text with not much contrast.
I must say though, that now that I have a clean prior
version of Firefox,
I am still getting those dark drop-downs. And the same is
true in Opera
and IE also. I don't know if it's universal, or some glitch
in my computer.
As for Firefox, it's the best. And they have great schemes
for people with
low vision. Again, it might be some glitch in my system that
doesn't
allow me
have the schemes I download, show up! Maybe someone reading
this can
help. As I matter of fact, although I've mentioned this
problem several
times, maybe I'll start a new thread!

Yea, I'm wondering if its your specific system, since you
say its happening on both Opera and Firefox. What about if
you use Internet Explorer? Is the view somewhat hard to read
as well?
What about playing with the settings on the actual monitor?
I'm not saying that you've toyed with them, but maybe
something got reset in the monitor settings, to where its
uncomfortable to your reading?

IE is the same. I haven't fiddle with my monitor, although I
just
looked, and the brightness is at 90! That;s something I may
have
done a long, long time ago. But I'm very happy with my
monitor
displays....crisp and clean and with great contrast.
So are you telling me that noone else is getting those dark
drip-downs>
Mine started after the 2.0 download, but I thought I had
cleaned
everything out!

My drop downs are all the same when using the default...
white background with black fonts. There's gotta be
something that's causing that. I really wish I could think
of something else for you. My mind is, however, still
running for you!
