Dear s9y list,
I have just found myself in possession of the most beautiful
phone, the
Nokia e65, and find myself trying to get native apps for
everything I
currently do a lot from my laptop ( I have managed to get
ssh working! )
and one thing I've just realised that I would love to have
is a native
app for updating my blog.
I understand there's some PyS60 thing that you can install
to prevent
having to write the c/c++ symbian stuff which might be
easier for people
but I'm wondering if there's already something written out
there in
interwebs land ?
Of course I could just update it using the built in browser,
but lets
face it, a native app would be SO much cooler!
Any help or suggestions appreciated!
Penny

As a side note, the JS used in the authoring web crashes the
Opera on my E90.
Bad!

Sadly I'm not in the possession of such a nice phone. Kris,
which parts of the
backend JS crash opera, can you check that? I might be able
to add some
versioning checking or sth like that.
Penny, as for the native S60 application: No way. You could
only search for a
native S60 XML-RPC client interface that allows you to blog.
But that will only
cover entry creation, you will still need to manage plugins,
styles etc. all
within the web interface.

Garvin

I go to "blog.koehntopp.de/admin", I hit "New
Entry", Textarea + Stuff are
shown, Opera vanishes from processlist with no message. I
suppose it is the
Single/Multi-Select switch JS for the categories, but I am
not sure.

Hm, that sucks. Do you use any extra plugins (which embed
themselve into the
"Extended options" section)? The freetag plugin
for example might use extended
javascript that might screw with your browser.
Is there a Opera-E65 emulator out there? I'd love to help
debugging, but without
a test environment, there's little I can do. :(

Em, I am learning just now: This is not Opera at all.

As you may be aware, Nokia’s new Web browser for S60 uses
the WebCore and
JavaScriptCore components from Apple’s WebKit. We first
released the code as
a zip file on http://opensource.nokia.
