There is a site, belonging to a local magazine, which translates it's
pages into Spanish in this way. It really doesn't work, the translation
is basically unreadable, and my Spanish friends just laugh at them.

Translation software is not yet at a stage where it can be used like
this - even if you use something like Babelfish. I have seen some
appalling translations from Spanish to English, and it's only because I
speak Spanish, that I can understand them.

Get someone to translate for you, or forget it, would be my suggestion.
