Hi folks,
I have this problem on setting up a Debian box, which was
'Sarge', but has been upgraded to 'Etch'. Is there a caveat
to be aware of in this circumstance. I am running PHP4 but
there is a lot of mention of this error occiring PHP5, which
is being fixed soon.

Can anyone shed some light on this one please?

Cheers,

there is a patch on the forum. I haven't heard of anyone
having a
problem with it, but it's a big enough change that it is
unlikely to
go into Stable

Hi,
Just as a follow up, I have got a server that I have
installed Debian Etch from scratch, and I have got that
working properly. Re-building my production server is not
really an option unless there is no other way.

Perhaps this is a Debian thing?

just went to refresh my memnory of what you are talking
about, and it
seems there is no datetime class in the .16 cvs branch?
http://cvs.savan
nah.gnu.org/viewvc/phpgwapi/inc/?root=phpgwapi&pathrev=V
ersion-0_9_16-branch

i'm at a loss. i guess debian could have ported the php5
datetime
object to php4, but I don't know why they would.

Well this is the wierd thing; I am using a virgin install on
a server of Debian Etch, and that seems to work OK. The
other thing is that the upgrade of Sarge to Etch is not
exactly trouble free.

Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and re-build my
production server. It's shame though as it's a shedload of
work, as I have a lot of stuff on my server.

After installing the patch, same problem over here!

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class datetime in
D:wampwwwphpgwapiincclass.datetime.inc.php on line
34"

What now?
