Different mian screens for all the different groups

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to have different
main screens for each group I have created.
If you have any ideas, could you give me a feedback? I am
very interested.

I am looking forwards to having some relevant ideas for this
problem.

from what i recall, main screen options are set per user,
not per group.

The problem is that each users has to have the access to
admin section to change their main screen, isn't it?

the login screen is site wide since that happens before
login.

teh welcome page is a user preference.  if they set a
default
application, the won't see it unless they click the
home/welcome link.
 what is on thet page is done also in user prefs on a per
application
basis, if an app supports being on the main screen, it will
have an
option to put itself there.

I don't recall there being any other configuration for it.

The mainscreen message is a global message.  It would be
possible to
hack it, if you know some php.

I don't have time to look at the code now, but you would
need to add a
group drop down to the edit screen and append the group id
to the lang
call, and probably have a fallback for new groups.  I am not
sure how
you will handle users who are in multiple groups.

I have found the line, where I have to change and modify the
code.
Tomorrow i am going to try it and to create different
eTemplate for each group.

oh the main screen MESSAGE!  i thought you mean the whole
screen....
