Re: A question regarding testing platforms.
Hello Andrew,

these questions are really valuable but it would be of more
value (for
the others) to have them answered within the devqa list.
In this case I
leave the original email attached.

Regarding differences between the OOo distributions:
There should be no difference if you take the install set
from one of
the mirror servers ( these snapshot builds are built by Sun

Microsystems), if you take them from linux.cz (they're built
by Pavel
Janik) or if you take them from good-day.net (they're built
by Nakata
Maho). All these builds have in common that they AFAIK
explicitly use
the sources from OOo's CVS repository. There can be
differences if you
use a build from one of the linux distributions. Some of
them implement
their own features which in most cases later get into OOo's
main codeline.

Regarding different milestones on different servers I can
say that
src680_m211 was a bit late until it got into the mirror
network because
master ftp had an outage and Pavel was a bit quicker to
provide a build.
I usually add developer builds as OOo-Dev as they can be
installed
besides an OpenOffice.org build. Please be aware that one
OpenOffice.org
build replaces another one.

Kind regards, Joost
