ADB patch for PowerBook5,8. Need to include in -current at least.
Hello.

There is a problem (now solved in NetBSD daily, but not
solved in
OpenBSD) with ADB and PowerBook5,8. Here is a quote:

"On some newer *Books we accidentally power down when
the adb driver
attaches. As far as I know this happens on machines which
don't have
an ADB bus, so the PMU regards ADB commands as error and
powers down."

Here is a link with full description and patch source -
<http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-macppc/2007/1
0/01/0000.html> Quote again:

"I've tested it on a PowerMac G4 which doesn't have ADB
but the PMU is
similar enough to the one used in newer PowerBooks although
it doesn't
power down on every error and a PowerBook 3400c which does
have ADB."

Now it's in NetBSD daily. -
<ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200710210002Z
/>

I tried it, and it's works. I think that people who have
build
environment, access, and coordination with head developers
should
include it in one of the next snapshots and give link to me.
I'll test
it. If any have time and such troubles, may test it too.

Thanks.
