groovyd,
I have never used it, but I hear good things about
RegexBuddy:
h
ttp://www.regular-expressions.info/regexbuddy.html
It breaks a regular expression into a kind of expression
tree, which
you can edit directly or will update dynamically as you edit
the
expression, and it demonstrates graphically how the
expression matches
against sample text. I don't know for sure, but it sounds
exactly
like what you are looking for.
I hope this helps.
