Note what is in this post:
http://blogger-tricks.blogspo
t.com/2008/02/accidentally-delete-blog-what-to-do.html
particularly what happens when you change the URL. For your
convenience, there is a link to an old (need updating) post
that is
still relevant to changing URL of an existing, especially an
old blog
with good PagerRank:

t.com/2006/12/why-you-should-not-delete-your-blog.html

I almost (99.99%) never change a blog URL for a further
reason. There
may be existing inbound links (links which when clicked
upon, leads to
your blog) which will become dead links. What I do is
usually change
the blog title which is also of importance to search engines
like for
example, my first Blogger related blog was
http://blogger
fordummies.blogspot.com/
was "Blogger for Dummies" but changed the blog
title to "Dummies Guide
to Blogger when I found out that "for Dummies" is
a trademark of Wiley
Publications as there are already inbound links, the blog
had been
indexed by search engines and get hits from search engines,
it has
good PageRank. Had I changed the blog URL, all those inbound
links
will become dead links plus I will have to start with search
engines
all over again and my PageRank will go back to no PageRank
and have to
start from scratch to get the PageRank up.

Even though I want to convert my now main Blogger related
blog
http://blogger-tri
cks.blogspot.com
to custom domain, I am cautious because there are lots and
lots of
links to old posts and while I am not sure yet (will be
testing), I
suspect those links to old posts will dead links, and just
in case,
what I did was to create a new blog
http:
//tips-tricks-google-blogger.blogspot.com/

(note: use of dash - in URL is controversial with some
saying that if
you have more than 3 dashes, the URL become spammy)

My advice to you is to keep the blog URL and since your blog
title is
already relevant to the content, do nothing. Advice given in
good
faith and decision and consequences is yours.
