Since I like Cherokee very much I'm mashing up a lot of
software I work 
on with Cherokee. As new pet project I am working on a
mashup of 
libvirt/avahi and cherokee. I wonder if it is possible to
have an 
'active' handler running.

Basically I would like to have my handler to be a client to
avahi. Avahi 
generally uses a main loop to achieve its goals, but it is
possible to 
run as a thread.

Now my question is, can I safely use threads in a handler?
