HP 2430 Laserjet Noisy outfeed

Hi John, I've just had a HP Lj 2420 that made a God-awful grinding
noise around the fuser area - Changed the fuser, now fine - most
puzzling - both fusers are very hard to rotate the rollers by hand by
pushing on the cogs - I thought that with the installed fuser, that
might have been the problem, (i.e semi-seized bearings or whatever)
but lo and behold the replacement fuser is equally as hard to rotate,
but anyway the printer is fine now. Hope it doesnt come back to haunt
me - ( the printer just 13 month old, outta warranty, modest use etc.)
