(Sorry for any dupes, my posts are not all getting thru for some
reason...)
Folks-
We have a Lexmark C750 Color printer that has fading black print.
The top part of a graphic or character is nice and dark, but
starting 3/16 down the black fades substantially.
This printer has about 96k copies, the black toner indicates about
75% on the consumables listing.
Now, possibly related...
There is a small repeating error every 100 mm which corresponds to
the ITU.
In previous printer-group emails, there are references to a shim (pn
56P11138) but they don't specify what conditions the shim corrects.
Don't know if this shim might correct the fading problem or not.
Customer can live with the faint repeating error, but the fading
issue needs correcting.
The ITU units are expensive (~$500), and I'd like a consensus prior
to spending the bucks.
Thanks! Jim/KMR/Chicago
