In reverse order. There's a setting on the configuration menu,
something like "new toner=no" change it to yes and it resets the bar
graph. When you get to a low toner messgae and change the toner, the
printer should display the message with an "=yes" and you select it to
reset. No realpurpose though, not all that accurate and no bearing on
when the printer displays low toner. Not to be confused with the newer
model with chips on the toner cart.
I don't recall on the light, I do know they do turn off like the 4000.
You could try a "cold reset" which will restore the factory settings.
