HP 8150 error code

Esteem group, Have a hp 8150 that keeps giving an error code 79 01FE. I
am getting old and memory is going. I have seen this before and can't
remember what fixed it. Can you help. Have tried Jet direct card,
formatter and boards on the formatter.

79 errors that won't clear or come back generally are caused by a faulty
formatter board. Pricey but less if you get a rebuild (and send the
defective one back) and it's replaceable by the end user although you'll
need to print a configuration page on the old one for serial and page counts
and settings, then go into service mode to set those new paramaters into the
new board. Google 8150 service mode and there are plenty of documents that
tell you how since it's the best way to reset the maintenance count as well.

C4265-69001 for rebuilt from HP at $221 plus flat shipping.

I am assuming you print from PCs not Macs. Here's an HP article relating to
