A while back someone was saying that they were able to quieten noisey lasers and I was wondering what they did to solve the problem. I have 2 that are noisey that I bought at a government auction. They only have 49K on them. Anyone have any suggestions? I dissassembled them and tried a few drops of silicone oil but it still howls.Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

The 2200 has had a noise problem with the output roller assembly.
There is a kit available which consists of a new output roller and 4
guide rollers.Part Number c7058-67905. I have installed this kit many
times and it has always worked. It is pretty easy to do once the top
cover is off. Be carefully with the shape and alignment of the guide
rollers. I always take them off 1 at a time to ensure I put the right
1 back in the right spot. The kit runs about $60.00 should be
available at Liberty parts, HP, Depot America and all the major players.
