HP Laserjet 2200dn with flashing attention light

Good Morning,
One of my techs checked a laserjet 2200dn.
The attention light is constantly flashing.
When he hits the go button, sounds like the printer is trying to do a
paper path test.
There is no secondary error.
Tech thinks the problem is an engine controller unit.
Need a second opinion please.
