under Protection Counter, aka Waste Ink Counter?



I just hooked up an Epson Photo EX. Cleaned it, got it printing,

checked the counter number via SSC and it said 8994. Printed two more

pages (and did nothing else with it), let it sit for a few hours and

checked and now it says 10274. I don't think the printer was -that-

unused.



Obviously this isn't pages printed, nor print head shots. Too high for

one, too low for the other.



Anyone know what these numbers mean?
