Hi, I've recently been handed a QXP document that contains
CJK fonts.
I'm not to advanced here, apparently these font metrics (if
that's
the correct terminology), are mapped in Unicode.
So the main problem that I've encountered is receiving a
Windows PDF
with none of these CJK fonts embedded. So the only route
that's
available to me is to convert type to outlines on output
from Mac
Acrobat. Which seems to work, but slightly thickens up the
glyphs.
Which isn't the ideal result.
Do you guys have any solutions to the above dilemma with
Asian fonts?
Am I right in thinking that Mac OS X has it's own (Asian
DFONT/
Multiple Master replacement versions) installed?
Separate question, does anyone utilise FontLab's TransType
Pro (which
I've just purchased), do you have anyone tips when
converting messed
up/emailed PC fonts to Mac?
Thanks,
Samantha Myers
