(Come to think of it, I'd love to know where that bit is
from. I'm sure I
stole it from Wodehouse (Bertie trying to remember a bit of
poetry to make his
case) decades go, but I'm dashed if I know where he nicked
it. Any takers?)

Respectfully,

I'm actually listening to The Inimitable Jeeves in the car
today, but I
haven't heard that line yet. Nice thought, though!

Wodehouse quoted it:

>[Bertie]"I allude to the Bingos -- Mr. and
Mrs."
>[Jeeves]"Exactly, sir."
>"What was it the poet said of couples like the
Bingeese?"
>"'Two minds with but a single thought, two hearts

But the original appears to be:

SO WHAT IS LOVE?
So what is love? If thou wouldst know
The human heart alone can tell:
Two minds with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one.

And whence comes Love? Like morning bright
Love comes without thy call.
And how dies Love? A spirit bright,
Love never dies at all.

TAN-multiple master fonts
country flaguser name
United States
2007-06-12 15:12:19
I have been through this before and suddenly I am going
through it again.

I have 19 12-20 page booklets that use two multiple master
fonts. All of a sudden, they will not print. I can make a
PDF, I can collect for output, but they won't print.

We recently upgraded my Mac system to 10.4.9 (it had been
10.2). Could this have something to do with this?

Anyone know how I can fix it?

I am about to ditch these fonts because we are redesigning
and repackaging all these booklets, but in the meantime, we
still need to occasionally print. I am reluctant to send
something to a print shop that I can't print in my office.

Thanks for any ideas.

Rochelle is concerned:

master fonts.

Many 'production' printers are unable to print MM fonts
properly, if
at all. But I've never had a problem printing PDFs made from
files
that use them. I think that's the solution, as Linda
suggests.
