Apple reportedly to ship with ruby 1.8.6-p36 unless informed what to patch

Hi,

Just wanted to make sure the ruby-core folk knew about this,
as
it seems like there's still time to prevent Apple shipping
with
a broken ruby version:

What Apple was asking me for today is a small code snippet
that shows  
the problem.  If anyone has such a thing, please share.

Having a "small code snippet" to show
threading-related problems is often 
impossible. I can confirm that p36 is broken w.r.t.
threading, see the 
bugreport I sent earlier. Nobu's patch fixes that problem
*and* seems to 
fix the crash Nobu saw with its test_barrier script

I may have another bug today: I have a strange bug related
to 
ConditionVariable and mutexes, still investigating
