About the license of gserver.rb being "freeware"?

Hello everyone,

 

I found that in Ruby package there's a file named gserver.rb, the license of which is "freeware". I searched freeware licence on internet, but I didn't find the content of the licence.

 

Then I searched for the author of gserver, John W. Small, and found his email address  jsmalllaser.net">jsmalllaser.net. But my mail to this address was returned back by the mail server because there's no such an email address.

 

So does anyone know about ;freeware licence, or does anyone know how to contact John W. Small? Thanks a lot.
