Latest Ruby 1.9 SVN Head - Make check loop

There appears to be an infinite loop in Make check with the
latest svn  
head.
After reporting several tests that is expected to fail, the
testing  
appears to hang immediately
after printing F
My system is MacOS 10.5.2 Leopard, on a 1GHZ eMac (PowerPC
g4)
