http://www.isixsigma.com/library/content/c060501a.asp

It is important to improve the entire gamut of business processes for an organization to achieve a competitive edge. A good way to do that is for the organization to focus on improving the maturity level of key business processes. Business-critical processes can be arrived at by the following steps:

Analyze the areas that the organization has an impact on. Generally, it has an impact on quality, timely delivery, compliance (regulatory / statutory / certification), cost and people.

Arrive at a rating scale and a weighing scale for the high impact areas. Rate all high impact processes. Arrived at the total process criticality value by summation of the ratings for the processes. Identify cutoff value and sort the processes above the cutoff value.

- (Because an IT Project Failure is NOT An Option)

Leadership is the great challenge of the 21st century in science, politics, education, and industry. But the greatest challenge in leadership is parenting. We need to do more than just get our enterprises ready for the challenges of the twenty-first century. We also need to get our children ready for the challenges of the 21st century. - Jim Rohn.
