I am considering to replace Intel's HMP with the
sipfoundry's
sipx-media-lib in our products, but I can not find any
information
about text-to-speech integration on the top of the
sipx-media-lib. I
will appreciate you so much if I can have any information.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, but sipXmediaLib does not contain any text-to-speech integration.

Youngjin,

Ahh, ok. In that case, TTS could be implemented as a resource (child of MpResource).
During times when it is not generating audio, it would just pass-through it's input to it's output.
I'd recommend either using or creating a TTS plugin framework, much like we have for codecs, so there can be some choice in what TTS engines to integrate.

When you're doing this, keep in mind that sipXtapi is LGPL -- so any closed-source libraries will have to be linked into a shared library for use.

Keith, I would like to know whether it is possible to integrate any
3rd parties9; TTS solution into sipxtapi-media-lib. I know that
sipxmedialib doesn't have TTS. HMP doesn't have either, but our
products have TTS integrated and the TTS works with HMP. We are
looking for this possibility with sipxmedialib.

Thank you very much for your note.
