Hi All,

Well, thanks for your previous reply about codec linking.

One more thing i want to know if i have built sipXtapi properly and i have got all (libsipXport.so, lbsipXsdp.so, libsipXtack.so, libsipXmedia.so , libsipXmediaProcessing.so, libsipXcall.so) shared libraries of sipXtapi.

Then, to use these shared libraries in my applaication, where should i put them as most appropriate location.

Currently, i have put them in "/mozilla-firefox/plugins" directory and "/usr/lib".

But, i need to run "ldconfig" command to create links of those .so files into /usr/lib.

After that, my application uses these shared libraries.

So, i want to ask whether it's necessary to run ldconfig command to use these shared libraries.

What can be optimzed way to use sipXtapi built shared libraries, where to put them?

Thanku very much,

Tarun.

Hi,

I think that `make install` should do the trick. IT should
install
libaries to default location (/usr/lib, as I recall
correctly) and
create all appropriate symlinks. Recent Linux does not
require
ldconfig to be run after every library install, so you're
doing something
wrong here. May be you're missing correct symlinks - run
`ldd <your_program>` and see to which library name it
actually
links. Usually it is something like 'libsipXtapi.so.1', so
you should
create symlink /usr/lib/libsipXtapi.so.1 to your
sipXtapi.so.
