svn: encoded string too long ERROR on SmartSVN 2.1RC, Mac OS X 10.4.8

Hi all,

I am having a problem while updating the local cache in SmartSVN
2.1RC. I am on MacOS X 10.4.8. My svn repo is about 3000 files (not
tiny). When I attempt to update the cache (it is "Not Indexed Yet"),
it gives me an error, as seen below:

I actually get a pop up window with the same error if I try to view
the Log for a file over all revisions, as seen below:

Please let me know if anyone has seen the same problem, if this is a
bug, an svn repository config problem, or a SmartSVN project setup issue.
