Problems with Subclipse and Eclipse 3.3.0

Hello,

I'm running Eclipse 3.3.0 (in the downloaded Version of
eclipse.org)
and installed Subclipse via the tigirs.org update site on
Ubuntu
Linux.

There are two problems:

The first - and importen - one is, that I'm not able to open
the
Subclipse Perspective as an "normal" user. When I
try to do that I get
the error message "Problems
opening perspective
org.tigirs.subclipse.ui.svnPerspecitve" - but if I
start Eclipse with sudo I'm able to open the perspective
without any
problem. Do you have any suggest for me what happend and how
to solve
this problem?

The second thing is, that I'm not able to install the Mylar
integration for subclipse because the name of Mylar changed
to Mylyn I
guess. Are there any possibilities zu install the feature?

My current system:
Ubuntu Linux 7.10
Eclipse 3.3.0
Subclipse 1.2.4
Java 6 SDK as provided by the Ubuntu repository

Thanks for your help,
Hannes Halenka

All I can think of is that the plugin was installed in a way
that you
do not have permissions to it. I've never heard of anything
like that.
Even if you were not authorized to the SVN libraries on
your system
it should fall back to SVNKit.

Subclipse requires a Sun JVM. Maybe your setup is such that
you are
getting that JVM when you run as root, but GCJ when running
as your
user? Help > About > Configuration Details will
reveal the JVM you
are using.

Our update site includes integrations for Mylar and Mylyn.
Just
select the right one.

I installed Subclipse by running Eclipse with sudo - as I
am
installing each other plugin with out any problems. I did
this also at
version 3.2.x of eclipse - and it worked.

Subversion is also installed in the Ubuntu standard way
"sudu aptitude
install subversion" - so this should not be the
problem.

Eclipse is using the Sun Java6.

Have you any other suggests for me?

Greez,
Hannes
