Hey all,
Just spent the day playing with swfmill, excellent tool,
totally
essential for what we are doing so nice work!
My question is actually about what happens after using
swfmill, I'm
hoping someone has already had to do something like this so
any
experience or suggestions/thuoghts are very welcome.
Simply put, I want to take the SWF generated by swfmill and
compile it
into an exe (and ideally a mac binary) and then build an
installer
around this file (even though it is just a single file).
We are of course doing all of this on the fly via PHP/Apache
on a linux
server, user chooses what they want, we build them the
compiled
installer just for them while they wait.
There are plenty of tools for exe compilation and installer
building for
windows but they are all gui and this is no good, since we
need to
dynamically build custom installers which can be invoked
from limux
command line.
Ideally we have 1 tool for compiling the flash swf
(swfmill), 1 tool for
building the native binary (?) and then another for building
the
installer for the relevent platform (InstallJammer maybe?).
Anyone got any ideas?
Toby
