Opening Tkinter widgets in remote displays

Sorry if this has been asked already, I couldn't find any  
documentation about it.

We're trying to get Tkinter's widgets to appear on an X11
server  
running remotely.  Is this possible?

So far we're only able to open widgets on the local console.
