Image Verification to protect comment Spam

i had the same problems on my development machine. there was
too much
noise to see anything, and when i could see letters from the
words,
they were way off to the edge where i could only see the
makings of
about one or two letters. i never thought this could have
been due to
the operating system so i never got to deployment on my
linux machine.
makes me curious about whether or not it would work on
another
operating system...
