VFS on Linux

Hi,

I am using a client written in C to access VFS manage.cmd on
the newest 
release of Netware OES.  I use open, write, lseek and read
and the code 
works perfectly on "regular" Netware.  When I
try these functions on 
Linux, I read back what I just wrote.  Even if I use Windows
File 
functions and FlushFileBuffers I still retrieve what I just
wrote.  
Something is seriously wrong.  Help?
