ideal candidate will possess a background in integrated
marketing
with an emphasis on events and promotions
QUALIFICATIONS
Job Experience
5+ years experience in events and promotions with a solid
understanding of integrated marketing.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills
· Strong understanding of consumer promotions and
events,
especially in the online and direct spaces
· Outstanding project management, execution,
organization and
communication skills
· Possess strongindustry knowledge regarding
vendors,
promotional tools and best practices
· Strong, project manager, strategic thinker with a
solid
background in event marketing/execution
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service/Relations:
Maintain appropriate mid and juniorlevel Client
relationships
Serve as day-to-day Client contact on promotoins issues
Build Client respect and be recognized as a leader in
execution on
their business
Help sell in new project ideas to Client and help to grow
business
Manage Client expectations on realistic promotional program
deliverbles
Ensure quality control of all program deliverables to
Clients
Strategy Capabilities:
Demonstrate industry knowledge/expertise in both business to
business
and business to consumer promotion/event channels.
Assist in development of program strategies and analyses for
Clients
(e.g., target audience recommendation, selection criteria,
partnership potentials, timing/scheduling strategy)
Command a comprehensive understanding of marketing
communications
which can be effectively translated into developing event
goals,
objectives, and strategies
Ensure program deliverables are met and align with Client
goals/
objectives
Work with Clients to identify issues and opportunities on
business
Evaluate, assess, and recommend the most effective
promotion/
alternative channels/partnerships to satisfy Client's
objectives
based on the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of
each
Oversee program results analysis and help translate
information into
observations/lessons learned
Creative Development:
Understand and direct specific creative needs to vendors and
clients
Concept development/bidding for all new projects
Communicate creative and technical needs to internal Digitas
teams
Partner with creative teams in developing creative
promotional
marketing programs
Help sell in projects using creative tools designed by
vendors and staff
Project/Account Management:
Plan/prioritize account team work plan around promotional
activation
Ensure quality control by preparing and/or reviewing Agency
products
including: creative, financial analyses, schedules, creative
strategies, and strategic decks
Ensure quality through the encouragement of accountability
Assist marketing team with day-to-day problem solving
Plan resource requirements for Client projects
As appropriate, involve AD, MD, and other senior management
to
address key Client/business issues
Financial Management:
Oversee the budgeting process to ensure that the necessary
resources
are applied
Handle budget allocation/negotiation with internal account
teams
Review, revise, and track project budgets
Aid in completing monthly staffing analysis reports
Effective negotiation and financial management of vendor
relaitonships
People Management/Career Development:
Plan/prioritize teamwork and delegate responsibilities
appropriately
Work with account teams to ensure a seamless integration of
work
Sell the Promotion capabilities across account
teams/capabilities
Effectively motivate staff, evaluate performance, and
provide
feedback on productivity when appropriate
Develop and train Assoc. for advancement
Develop career plan with with reports to foster professional
development and prepare team members for promotion
Provide timely performance evaluation to staff members

Balance Client and Agency objectives
Support Agency philosophy, direction, and potential
Adhere to Agency policies and workflow procedures
Be a student of the business of event marketing
Support Training Department Initiatives
