You probably need to open the printer and “cancel all
documents” under the printer tab

Subject: [windows2000] I cannot delete my printer
I
am trying to delete a printer on my computer. It is a local printer and
is no longer attached to the PC. I am running Windows XP Pro with
SP2. I selected the printer in Printers and Faxes, and then tried to
delete it. That was 15 minutes ago. It is sitting there with the
word “Deleting”; after the printer217;s name. ; I have both
rebooted and restarted my PC, and it still says that.
Why
can217;t I delete the printer?
