Hi Chaps,

have a very odd issue.

Running SBS 2003 and recntly moved our use shares to a
different server and
redirected the synchronisation via group policy. All working
ok.

Suddenly!!! a handful of users, seems to be randomly
selected periodically
receive an error indicating that the synchronisation to the
old server has
failed (i guess because the file share exists no longer).
They also cannot
print. All printers shared from the old server which are
still in use,
indicate "unable to connect".

any ideas

They still have mappings to the old server? Or printer
shares located on the
decommisioned server(s)? Hardset links to pics in word-docs
pointing to the
old place? I've seen this all... 8-(

It makes a difference using dfs-pathways (always the same
path), as the
servers can be moved around to your hearts content and the
dfs-path not being
changed, and the users being non the wiser, yet still
working as usual.

HTH.
