Upgrading wxWidgets

I am using wxWidgets 2.8.4, but I see that Alien-wxWidgets
still uses
2.8.3. Is there any reason for this?

Also, will running wxPerl in Unicode on Linux work?

Thanks,

Peter

Mattia doesn't necessarily release an update for
Alien::wxWidgets
every time the wxWidgets maintainers do a new release.
However, I
have successfully built wxPerl against a CVS build of
wxWidgets,
though I sometimes have to patch some minor issues.

wxPerl absolutely works fine with a Unicode wxGTK build.

John Ralls
